Not everyone can climb 5000 thousand meters above the sea level to see the world’s highest mountain but that should not discourage one who wishes to see them. We bring Everest view trek for those enthusiasts who wishes to see the Mount Everest and other highest mountains but without having to tackle with the fear of high altitude sickness or relentless strenuous walks.

This trek is a leisure and relaxed trek and we buy all the world’s time to not only see the mountains but also the beautiful Sherpa culture. The trek takes you to several interesting places like Namche Bazaar, Syangboche, Tengboche an Khumjung. Every place mentioned is very significant – Namche Bazaar is the busiest town in Everest region and has almost all modern amenities, Syangboche has the highest air strip in the Everest region and the highest elevation 5 star hotel, Tengboche homes the highest and the largest buddhist monastery and Khumjung has the oldest buddhist monastery which protects of so claimed yeti skull.

On Everest view Trek we walk through the villages intermingling with beautiful forest of Rhododendron and Pine. Often we would encounter Himalayan Tahr grazing on the slopes and colorful impeyan pheasant at its own. The most interesting part of the trip is in the village of Khumjung which is by the Khumbila mountain. A very recognized and large village which is famous as the home of world record holder Appa Sherpa who successfully climbed the Everest for 21 times and Tenzing Norgay who was the first person to be on the summit of the Everest, along with Sir Hillary.

Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar
It is uttermost important for us to spend a day in Namche in order to acclimatize for higher ground. The day may be a rest day but it is important to be active even on a free day and being lethargic day around is the worst thing to do. We will do small side trips of 2-3 hours from and to Namche itself. Namche as well is the last stop in the Everest, if you wish to buy any forgotten things for your trek this may as well be a last chance. We spend this day as well on Namche.

Namche – Khumjung
We begin uphill from Namche and leave behind the regular trail that leads to the Everest base camp. We climb all the way up to reach Syangboche airstrip – the highest elevated non commercial airport in the Everest region. Right above the airport we can see beautifully crafted luxurious hotel, build with all amenities and offering great views of surrounding mountains. Furthermore, we climb up beyond the pine forest until the opening of Khumjung. Comparatively Khumjung is a large village and offers close views of Kongde Ri and Thamserku. To add up, a sacred peak namely Khumbila rises above the grounds of Khumjung. This village is significant in many ways - one it homes the monastery which houses and preserves a so called yeti scalp, second it has a school which was made by the pioneer mountaineer Sir. Edmund Hillary, third the famous mountaineers Appa Sherpa and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa belong to the village. This village is a quite a place to spend overnight in.

Tengboche is around 70 meters higher than Khumjung, but it takes around 2 hours if we walk with pace and around 3 hours if we relax, explore and walk. Initially we descend down to Dudh Koshi and cross it via a rustic suspension bridge to reach our lunch stopover. We have our lunch and make a final ascent to Tengboche monastery. Since we walk for few hours and the monastery opens only after 3:00 pm, we will explore the Tengboche monastery from the inside. The view of the mountains from the monastery as well is worth appreciation. We spend overnight in Tengboche.

The trail is steep and bends are pretty often but on this section of road keep you eyes open for Himalayan goat and lovely pheasant. The forest is as well known to inhabit snow leopards but never has been spotted by any of our members or guests. Once we reach Namche we would have enough time to relax and chat over coffee and bakery. Moreover, its pleasant to access the internet at the eatery. After brief moment in Namche we head further down towards Monjo. We cross the Dudh Koshi river twice, over the suspension bridge, at two different locations. Just befor Monjo we exit Sagarmatha national park. Overnight in Monjo.

The trail that leads from Monjo to lukla is basically downhill but long enough to take 4-6 hours, depending on our speed. Once we reach lukla your trekking leader will reconfirm your flight to Kathmandu for the next day. Travellers spend rest of the day Chatting, drinking beer in the local bars and sharing experience with other travellers.
